Big Boet! Grade 2 Volume 2 is a bilingual (Afrikaans and English) program, which contains hundreds of exciting exercises in 5 key skills development sections. These proven skills are essential to equip your child with the fundamental knowledge that is necessary for the primary educational phase. The skills developed include addition, subtraction, multiplication (times tables), mental division, reading, spelling, logical reasoning, memory recall, concentration and basic computer skills.

All the activities are presented in fun and engaging game play. The games are made to be understood by kids and is designed to be played without adult assistance. The result is that you not only develop the child’s intellect and fundamental skills, but also a sense of self-confidence.

The graphical interface is designed around a Circus Adventure theme. Each object on the stage represents a different skill or activity.

The navigation is made extremely easy for kids to use. Just hover the mouse pointer over an object to see what the name of the activity is. Clicking on the object will open the activity you want to do.

Main Menu
The interactive circus stage menu interface was designed with kids in mind. It is extremely kids-friendly, easy to use and logical. The use of colorful, vibrant graphics and animations enhance the learning experience while kids are having fun using the program.

Answer the math question by throwing the ball at the correct answer on the target. There are 10 questions to complete within a limited time. Choose between addition, subtraction, multiplication and division equations.

In order to play this game, the learner must click on the moving words that match the word on the curtain board. This word will appear a number of times in the list of moving words. The learner need to get all of the words in order to get a point for that round. The result will appear after completion of round 10.

Memory and Concentration
In this fun game the learner must shoot the correct pictures while it moves across the screen. Before the game starts, the learner will be given a short time to memorise the pictures that must be found. The number of times each picture appears will be indicated at the bottom of the screen. The result will be displayed after the 3rd round.

In this game, two spinning wheels produce the first and last parts of a word. The learner needs to complete the word by selecting the correct letter(s) from a list of options below. Before the game start, the learner will have the chance to view and memorise the spelling of the words that will be tested. During displaying of the word to be spelled, a pre-recorded voice reads out the word.

Thinking – Logical reasoning
This game is a Tangram type puzzle with unlimited combinations generated by the computer.
The learner needs to drag and drop the pieces to the correct position. The black parts are pieces that are already in the correct position. Some pieces need to be rotated to make them fit by using the rotate buttons to get the piece in it”s correct orientation. The puzzle should be completed within the time limit. The remaining time has an effect on the calculation of the result.
